Judy Brown is a leading international Mobile Learning expert and a highly-regarded educational technology consultant. Judy has extensive experience in both the higher education and federal government segments. She has worked on prototypes and proof-of-concept demos for several segments including the K12 academic market. Judy has been involved in the research and development of learning technology products for many years and has an impressive track record in applied performance technology research.
Judy recently retired as the Emerging Technology Analyst in the Office of Learning and Information Technology (OLIT) at the University of Wisconsin (UW) System Administration. During the past six years she was the Founder and Director of the Academic Advanced Distributed Learning (ADL) Co-Lab in partnership with the Department of Defense. As Director of the ADL Co-Lab she conducted extensive learning technology research for the fifteen institutions in the UW System.
Judy serves on the Elliot Masie Learning CONSORTIUM Learning Leadership Council and continues to work closely with ADL. She was recently appointed to a board position on the Wisconsin Charter Schools Association (WCSA) Board of Directors and the US Army's Distance Learning Training Technology Subcommittee.
Judy is one of the most respected thought leaders in the industry. She is a frequent presenter at the international education and training events including Digital Learning Forum, International Congress TCON-06, Tokyo Mobile Learning for Expanding Educational Opportunities Workshop, DevLearn 2006, Learning 2006, Implementation Fest 2006, and Serious Games.
