Jim's role with Ambient Insight is to ensure quality and clarity in all the analytical products we provide to global customers. This includes collecting secondary data in various regions and refining forecasts in our international reports. Jim’s background is rich in customer relations, business development, sales, and marketing for international Fortune 500 companies.

A retired executive from Nordstrom, Jim honed his analytical skills by forecasting product revenues and by developing go-to-market strategies. Prior to Nordstrom, Jim worked as sales executive for Frito Lay Inc, where he gained valuable international business, sales development, marketing, and customer relations experience.

Jim has also managed all aspects of a successful art gallery startup that he founded and directed for four years, from recruiting global artists, to managing operations, budgets, and customer communications, to creating ongoing local and international publicity.

Recently, Jim was appointed by the Mayor of Lake Forest Park to serve on the city's Environmental Quality Commission, where he is actively involved in policy development across multiple jurisdictions to rehabilitate and maintain a healthy stream environment for returning salmon. Jim is also co-leader of the community's Streamkeepers organization and a member of the city's Crime Watch program.
